Hello, Hello, Hello!

Whoo-hoo! With the help of fellow music therapist, Rachel Rambach, audio posts are officially up and running.
When sessions begin, we sing some sort of "Hello" song to signal that music therapy is starting and work on that oh-so-important skill of saying "hi." Some of my students also love songs that include movement. I thought that sharing a "Hello" song as the first post is only fitting!
ps: Rachel has a FANTASTIC blog...check it out!

EVERYBODY SING HELLO
Oh, it’s time to say hello,
Let’s sing a song we know.
Everybody sing along,
Let’s sing the hello song!

Everybody, clap, clap, clap your hands [CLAP, CLAP, CLAP]
And tap, tap, tap your knees [TAP, TAP, TAP]
Everybody, let’s count up to 3 [1-2-3]
I say “hello” to you, you say “hello” to me
[proceed to say “Hello” to all group members or individual]

Oh, it’s time to say hello
Let's sing a song we know.
Everybody sing along,
Let’s sing the hello song!
