I try my best to post activities at the beginning of the week, and I've been pretty successful at signing in on Monday or Tuesday. I've found a way to make myself be as consistent as possible (it's always great to become a tad bit more organized!):
One of my Monday students and I work after school together on the keyboard. He loves to come see me for "Music Monday." He and his family came up with the name so he knew what to expect on Monday- cute & creative, right? I sure thought it was; I also thought it sounded like the title of a great new "Hello" song, and now the title of the posts I share with you.
I wanted to keep the song on the short side, with a simple melody, because this allows my student to play the adaptive piano sheet (which hints at another day of music-sharing that I'm preparing for you) while we sing "Hello" together.
So without further ado, I give you the first song in the now-named "Music Monday" series of song posts. Enjoy and have a great Monday!
MUSIC MONDAY
It's time for Music Monday,
We'll have ourselves a fun day.
We'll sing, and dance, and play
With instruments, too.
It's time for Music Monday,
But first things first
We will say,
"Hi" to me and "Hi" to you!
(either say or sing "Hi" and then repeat to end)
Although dubbed Music Monday, it's simple to substitute any day of the week into this opening song. In fact, I also see this student on the weekend and we have "Music Saturday" together. : )
